How do you film a movie on video in Black & White?

It depends on your camera and or editing software.
I have a B&W feature on my camera and incorporated into an editing suite.
Other than that you would have to use some type of a filter or re-tape the prototype through a B&W TV if you can find a way around the refresh lines that show up when recording from a monitor or television.
Also recoring directly into a bright light can damage your camera.
I am sure there are other ways but those are the only things I can think of.
This may seem to go against things I have said before about giving advice.
But I am not telling you what to do or buy. Only pointing out the facts.

I'm using a 8mm camcorder, but I have no editing software...yet, I'm probably going to buy this wire set that enables you to hook a camcorder up to a computer through a USB port and it has editing software with it...... I guess I'll just film my movie in color.

Hi,
If you output from your camera to your AHS recorder using S-video, you can cut off 2 of the 4 pins and you are now recording to your VHS recorder in black and white only, i.e. no colour.
